As an avid lover and user of LED lighting, I was very excited by the Spectrum King LED series. I have used a few brands in the past such as Dormgrow and Growblu with decent results. What had me most intrigued was the type of spectrum they use in the light system. It is full spectrum made with white lights and not like the red and blue = purple you get with other typed of LED lights.
I decided to go with the Spectrum King LED Series 400+ (400 plus) just see what the "best of the best" would do in my garden. I can honestly say these lights work great. I used two in a 4X6 area with results similar to my old HPS setup. One thing to keep in mind is this is a new type of light and there is a learning curve. So, I am confident I can achieve a better yield in the future. I was able to get 1.1gr per watt. I feel I should be able to get at least 1.5gr per watt with these , no problem. The flowers took a little longer than with HPS. But, that is normal for LEDs in my experience and there is a major benefit in terpene and resin content from the slightly longer flower time.
The "hidden" benefit to these is the savings in heat and power. I saw a 30% drop in my power costs! That makes the price really worth it. Not having to run an AC unit to cool HPS lights is a major plus!
In the end, I can say I am very happy with my purchase of my Spectrum King LED light. The warranty is outstanding and these lights are made in the USA by growers for growers. It is nice to have a quality product made in the U.S.A.
